APRIL 30 2013 Sunny Gonzales beach dip And Lovely Dr. Hauschka Facial Awesome :)

It was a beautiful Sunny Morning as I arrived at Gonzales Beach. I had an amaZing meditation and a nice walk on the beach dressed only in my bathing suit. I then went for my quick dip and had a relaxing Dallas Road Drive home.

When I got home Kathleen was there to greet me with a big loving hug and informed me that she wished to give me a Dr. Hauschka Facial.

I was truly blessed as I relaxed completely over the next two hours as she pampered me.

Tonight I will be going out with My friend Treok for one of our biweekly poker nights. I am enjoying learning the game. It is a lot of fun.

Kathleen has been learning to play cribbage. I am teaching everything I know about Crib. We relax at night now and play since I made a firm commitment NOT to watch any downloaded TV shows or movies as part of my goal to live life more fully.

APRIL 29 2013 Day 5 CHAOS AND KINDNESS Gonzales Beach lovely wind

Well April 29 was another good day. I restarted doing my daily dips at Gonzales beach. it was a sunny day and I did my morning meditation and had a dip in the always 4 degrees Celsius waters. It was very relaxing. when I returned home Kathleen and I had a really good time talking and then Kathleen went off to paint.

I had a great sleep stretching into the afternoon. I also received an email from our good friends Doreen and John with pictures from their mid April visit to us in Victoria. They live in Powell River and we all vacation together in Mexico.

See below for the great pictures. Thanks to John and Doreen we are booked back in at El Delfin in Los Ayala for January and February 2013.

We had a really good visit and dinner on April 16th. We went to Hernandez for dinner. We knew Doreen and John would like real Mexican food :)

After I slept more Kathleen and Veda returned home and we had some nice family time sharing about our day.

Day 4 Al's blog post..travelling and growing in Victoria part 2

Today was a great day. I worked at night then started the day off with a swim in Cordova Bay which is about 2 minutes from my work. Very refreshing. Then I came home and Kathleen and I enjoyed a relaxing morning together. Veda is on Hornby Island so we had a whole morning to ourselves. It was a wonderful time of smiles and connection.

I was then off to deliver the FOOD NOT BOMBS Kitchen pots and pans to the place we Were cooking the meal today.

I came home and did some serious sleeping then I went out for a long walk with Kathleen. It was fun because we decided to make it a silent walk which was fun because if one wanted to communicate anything it was by gestures. :)

Then I headed off to do Food Not Bombs to help finish peeping the meal then taking it to be served.

It is amazing that for over 20 years FNB Victoria has been serving VEGAN food once a week. Now our veggies are all organic thanks to Madrona Fran's and Share Organics and their weekly donations.

I am enjoying this weekly volunteering and the people I meet. Providing a hot meal to a varied group of neat people who eat and share together.

Then I can home and Kathleen and I prepared an awesome Thai curry stir fry with fresh organic Kale and collards from our garden. So fresh and yummy.

Then Kathleen and I played cribbage and listen to cool80's music we even danced to Joy Division :) it was another awesome day.

I am feeling energized and refreshed. Tomorrow perhaps I will talk more about al the neat healthy things I have been doing.

Veda is arriving home soon from Hornby. Veda is growing into an amaZing young woman.

She is drawing a lot of pen and ink art these days spending hours at her new art table and it is manga inspired.

Veda and I have been really inspired by this WITH THE LIGHT SERIES about a young boy with autism and how his family in Japan learns to live and get the support they need and create more understanding among the public.

Day 4 Al's blog post..travelling and growing in Victoria part 1

ALOHA EVERYONE.

Well I have missed posting the last two days. This past week has been intense yet a very positive period of growth for me an in my relationship with Kathleen. We have accepted a challenge to do daily blog posts together.

I have been very tired this week so I missed day 2 and day 3. You can see some pictures here from those days.

I am very. Excited that Kathleen and I are doing an online course with Gay and Katie Hendricks called Lasting Love made Easy. and then we are taking their essentials course live in Vancouver in June :) http://www.lastinglovemadeeasy.com/




We have done a lot of counselling and we have worked on finding a way to communicate nonviolently when we have issues with each other. We have made a significant breakthrough about two months ago.

We were finding that it was difficult for either of us ( mostly AL) to receive the other person's anger( mostly Kathleen) we found that using NVC or Non violent communication in an email first and then the person replying helps to make it so the person's anger and other feelings are received. This has lead to further healing journeys which I will write about more later.

Oh another important note I have return to my daily routine of taking a brief daily dip in the ocean which is almost always a constant 4 degrees Celsius throughout the year up here in BC. I go to Cordova Bay on the weekend mornings and then on the weekdays I go to my fav beach Gonzales ;)

Well Kathleen and I have decided to do a daily blog for the next little while. today I relaxed most did some stretching exercises a bit of yoga finished reading the With the Light series by Keiko Tobe. She was an amazing Manga artist who did this 8 part series on a boy with Autism. veda and I really enjoyed it. I also helped Kathleen get her goto meeting going with the Montreal Dr. Hauschka people and after Kathleen finish her meeting online she showed me some cool comic art by James. I suspect Concordia which is where my cousin Tim went to school is where James went as well.

Kathleen and I went out for a walk in the beautiful sunshine and then we laid out in the sun for the afternoon. We had a nice garden salad from our GArden.

I am missing the Moon dance tonight and poker as well as I am not so drawn to go if Treok is not going as well.

I sold my Kayak on Tuesday and am happy about that.

Starting tomorrow I am going to focus on my daily routines and get more yoga happening and go for a daily swim. I trust these blog post will become more interesting as I go along
